The Merlot is our most popular house red for restaurants and gastro-pubs
Unoaked fruity merlot with hints of berries and plum. Easy enough to drink alone, it also holds up well to meats and cheese. Drinking well now, but will become richer and fuller through its time in bottle.
Traditional vinification followed by alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature (25c to 27c). Gentle extraction with micro-oxygenation. Racking to cuve for malolactic fermentation.
Beautiful deep color. The nose gives subtle notes of berries and plum. The palate is very supple, finished by well balanced tannins adding a refreshing intensity.
