Vermentino (from €7.08)
A crisp dry drinking wine, perfect as an aperitif or accompaniment to seafood.
Vermentino is particularly popular along the coast of France and Northern Europe. It makes a great aperitif, but also holds up well to fish and seafood, with a citrus marine nose and interesting mineral elements to the palette. Good length and excellent acidity.
Cold settling, fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at controlled temperature; no malolactic fermentation.
Drunk young, a light fresh easy drinking wine with a delicate bouquet of lime, apricots and a touch of white pepper. Develops into a medium bodied wine with super acidity that provides a crispness and real length to the palate. Best enjoyed as an aperitif or with seafood and shellfish. Our equivalent to Pic Poul.
